Impian Remaja is a youth empowerment initiative under Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). The project aims to provide a digital platform for students and young people to access resources, events, and mentorship opportunities.

Our team was responsible for developing the website using WordPress, ensuring the platform was user-friendly, easily maintainable, and aligned with UKM’s visual and accessibility standards.

The Challenge

The UKM team needed a professional yet approachable website to host multiple content types — from blog updates and event listings to static informational pages — all manageable by non-technical users.

Key goals:

• Provide an easy-to-update CMS for staff and volunteers.

• Ensure design consistency with UKM’s institutional branding.

• Deliver a fast-loading and mobile-responsive experience.

The Approach

We focused on balancing structure and flexibility, building a solid foundation that enables the UKM team to manage updates confidently while maintaining design integrity.

   • Integrated Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) for reusable sections and content blocks.

2. Design System

   • Followed UKM’s brand guidelines while introducing a youthful, approachable tone.

   • Used clear typography and consistent spacing to enhance readability.

3. Performance Optimization

   • Implemented caching, image compression, and minified assets for faster load times.

   • Structured SEO-friendly URLs and metadata for better search visibility.

4. CMS & Usability

   • Configured an intuitive content structure for easy editing.

   • Provided guidance and documentation to ensure smooth content management.

The Outcome

• A fully responsive, SEO-optimized WordPress site successfully launched under UKM’s domain.
